After the release of Captain America: Civil War trailer, Speculations are on rise that the Thor trilogy’s final and last franchise will be none other than Thor: Ragnarok. The plot of the movie starts with the same plot of Asgard exiling Thor, because of which he lands among humans and fights evil.
It has been said that Thor will be seen dying in Thor 3 Ragnarok. Fans all over the world have been heartbroken over this news. If we look at this news with a different perspective, there has always been a trend in superhero movies that even when the hero dies, it is not permanent. They somehow get revived back in one way or the other.
This is exactly what is being expected from the Thor movie franchise as well. Another reason being Chris Hemsworth’s contract with Marvel which includes two more movies to be shot.
Fans have been speculating about the story and plot that Thor: Ragnarok will be following yet there seems to be no definite answer.
When Ragnarok occurs, Thor is found entering into a phase of unconsciousness. At this time, the fellow Avengers consider him to be dead. Soon, his hammer, Mjölnir is discovered on Earth and put under US Army protection.
The hammer is tried to be stolen by Doctor Doom but he does not succeed in his attempt of stealing it. Soon after, Mjölnir is taken away by a man carrying a bag marked “D.B” – Donald Blake. He is considered to be the one who reincarnates Thor and brings him back to life.
Donald Blake is expected to succeed in the process of bringing Thor back to life. The same concept was seen in the earlier franchise when Thor’s hammer is found in the desert.
This is definitely not the first time Thor has left his hammer somewhere, In every franchise, the story is found revolving around the same concept where Thor is ultimately rescued in one way or the other. Now what remains in the question is that who is going to lift Mjölnir in the event of Thor’s death.
The only other hero we’ve seen lift the hammer was Vision, in The Avengers: Age Of Ultron. Fans can do nothing but guess as to who will take over the hammer lifting legacy.
Thor: Ragnarok stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston and Mark Ruffalo in important roles. It also stars Jaimie Alexander in a pivotal role. Thor 3: Ragnarok is expected to hit the theaters in October 2017.
